Accountant / Senior Accountant (m/f/d)

**This position is based in Bitola, Macedonia (hybrid). Applicants must have a work/residence permit for the respective location.**

Responsibilities:

• Process/generate accounting postings through the accounting system for companies in different countries (Denmark, UK, North Macedonia).
• Handle monthly account reconciliation in the accounting system and review journal entries before month-end closing.
• Understand expense accounts and cost centers.
• Perform GL coding of invoices in compliance with internal and external rules.
• Apply appropriate and accurate VAT, WHT, or other tax coding to invoices in accordance with statutory rules.
• Allocate costs/revenue in compliance with internal rules.
• Maintain accurate and complete vendor/customer tax, invoicing and bank account details.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
• Reconcile AP/AR statements.
• Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements.
• Prepare regular reporting and analyses using data sources.

• 3+ years of financial accounting experience, preferably gained in a fast-moving, large, multinational environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Excellent knowledge of general accounting principles.
• Fluent in English.
• Good knowledge in MS Office.
• NetSuite experience is preferred but not essential.
• Proactive, goal-oriented, and self-motivated.
• Accuracy and high attention to details.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
