The impact you’ll have as Engineering Team Lead:

Chaos Cylindo is a cutting-edge 3D product visualisation platform for commerce that makes creating, managing, and distributing photorealistic product visuals easy. As Engineering Team Lead at Chaos Cylindo, you'll be at the helm of our small, cross-functional Asset Creation team, helping us deliver on our ambitious goals. The Asset Creation team is responsible for building out the self service tooling our customers crave and turning our web portal into the most effective and intuitive platform for creating and managing 3d assets. While you'll have a hand in management and leadership tasks, a lot of your time will be spent showing off your technical chops in application design and web development.

At Chaos, we innovate at scale and prioritise rapid development, all while putting our customers first. Despite our size, we operate with the agility of a start-up, so being able to wear different hats and juggle multiple projects is crucial.

In this role, you will:

  • Mentor your team and lead by example in technical aspects.

  • Engage in every phase of the Development Lifecycle; from design and coding to testing and production release.

  • Produce clean, effective code within an agile team setting.

  • Perform code reviews that elevate the team’s development practices, particularly in Next.js web applications.

  • Develop web applications that are not only accessible but also align with TDD best practices.

  • Relish the opportunity to develop and streamline teams and workflows to optimise efficiency.

  • Work closely with design and product teams to forge exceptional product experiences.

  • Exhibit a deep passion for technology by developing advanced, scalable, and robust software systems.

  • Continuously challenge the status quo through rapid prototyping and iterative development, fostering a culture of innovation.

  • You thrive on leading a team, dedicated to nurturing individual and collective growth while delivering top-quality software.

  • You love learning, experimenting and sharing your knowledge with others

  • You have a true passion for development, innovation and crafting amazing user experiences

  • Experience with 3d tools, technology or concepts would be awesome but is not required
