The Head of Finance is responsible for overseeing the financial strategy, operations, and planning of the organization. This role leads all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, financial planning and analysis, accounting, compliance, reporting, and risk management. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of financial management in a fast-paced environment. This role is a part of the management team and acts as a key business partner delivering insights that improve financial performance, operational efficiency, and long-term value creation.

Responsibilities:

• Financial Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and execute the financial strategy, aligning with Cylindo‘s strategic goals.

  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.

  • Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide strategic recommendations.

  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track financial performance.

• Financial Operations & Control:

  • Oversee all accounting operations (A/R, A/P, GL, payroll), ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships.

  • Implement and maintain effective cost control measures.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS), regulations, and internal controls.

  • Oversee audits (internal/external) and ensure timely resolution of findings.

• Business Partnering & Analysis:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Cylindo leadership team, providing financial guidance.

  • Collaborate with other departments to align financial plans with operational initiatives.

  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decisions (e.g., pricing, investments, growth strategies).

  • Support financial aspects of product strategy initiatives (e.g., AI development, market expansion).

• Leadership & Management:

  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance.

  • Drive process improvements and automation within the finance function.

  • Communicate financial information effectively to stakeholders.

• Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in finance roles, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership position.

  • Proven experience in a SaaS or technology company is essential.

• Skills & Knowledge:

  • Understanding of software industry KPIs.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.

  • Experience in revenue operation direct or in collaboration.

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
