**This position is based in Mainland China, preferably in the metropolitan areas of Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, or Shenzhen (remote). Applicants must hold a valid work/residence permit for the respective location.**

We are now looking for a License Compliance Manager who will be responsible for identifying and qualifying anti-piracy and compliance opportunities and developing, leading, and driving the strategy to resolve piracy and compliance issues. This role combines business strategy, execution coordination, and operational direct and indirect sales. The License Compliance Manager proactively works with multiple stakeholders to grow the LC revenue stream across the assigned markets.

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Research potential compliance cases and engages with potential cracked-software users and non-compliant users (both directly or indirectly) to maximize each opportunity.

  • Maintain a consistent pipeline of opportunities to achieve quarterly goals.

  • Resolve piracy and compliance issues by balancing the customer relationship with maximizing the value of each LC opportunity.

  • Work with the broader sales team and other internal teams to educate target accounts regarding software licensing and conducts account planning for strategic compliance deals.

  • Strategize, build, and manage the prospecting list for commercial sales across the assigned portfolio of products.

  • Manage end-to-end License Compliance reviews, which include managing third-party firms and working extensively with many of Chaos’ internal teams.

  • Maintain a clear track record within the company’s CRM system.

  • Monitor sales results based on KPIs.

  • Prepare reports and analyses for sales management.

  • Experience in software anti-piracy efforts will be considered a major advantage.

Job requirements

  • Fluent in English and Chinese.

  • 3+ years of direct work experience in a sales rep role.

  • Hunter mindset.

  • Extensive researching skills.

  • Strong knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.

  • Proficient in general software licensing and sales practices, experience with different software licensing models and sales approaches.

  • Autonomous in prioritizing day-to-day tasks.

  • Focus on details.

  • Great balance between customer focus and company risks.

  • Strong negotiation and investigation skills.

  • Effective communication over email (and phone).

  • University degree.

Advantages

  • Experience in sales for a company in the IT sector.

  • Expert in identifying customers’ potential and autonomy in opportunity management.

  • Some knowledge about the 3D visualization platforms (VFX and/or Arch viz industries) would be an advantage.

  • An additional foreign language.

  • Channel sales experience.

  • License compliance experience.

Key technical skills

  • Proficient computer skills - email, Google apps, and email platforms.

  • Proficient in working with CRM systems (accounts/leads/opportunity management/ticketing) - preferably Salesforce.

  • Proficient in working with BI tools - preferably Power BI.

  • Familiar with order processing and delivery tools.

  • Proficiency using LinkedIn, Twitter, and Google to research leads.

  • Able to conduct company research.
