Marketing & Partner Programs Manager - Japan
The Marketing & Partner Programs Manager - Japan grows awareness and demand for Chaos products in Japan. The role acts as a hands-on marketing generalist. It supports channel partners, runs local campaigns and events, and tailors global marketing to meet the needs of the Japanese market. The goal is simple - to turn Japan’s market potential into a qualified pipeline and stronger brand presence, with a clear focus on AEC-related workflows.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Plan and execute the Japan marketing calendar. Align with HQ campaigns and local revenue targets.
Support channel partners with joint marketing plans, MDF usage, and ready-to-use Japanese assets.
Manage Japan’s presence at third-party events and organize Chaos-owned events, including workshops, user days, and webinars.
Coordinate with external agencies on SEO, paid campaigns, and local landing pages.
Handle local PR and media outreach. Build relationships with key AEC and design media, securing coverage for Chaos.
Engage local communities, content creators, and power users to grow organic reach and advocacy.
Oversee the translation and localization of key marketing materials to ensure they feel native to Japanese customers.
Drive marketing activities for education, universities, and schools, in coordination with the Sales and EDU teams.
Track pre-defined key marketing KPIs and report results to the Japan Commercial Team Lead and HQ Marketing.
Job requirements
4-7 years of B2B marketing experience in Japan. Software, AEC, design tools, or a similar field preferred.
Native-level Japanese and strong business English for HQ collaboration.
Broad hands-on marketing background: events, partner marketing, digital campaigns, and content.
Experience working with channel partners or distributors, as well as managing joint campaigns or MDF, is a strong plus.
Practical understanding of digital marketing: SEO, paid media, webinars, and basic marketing tools.
Strong Japanese copywriting and localization skills, able to adapt global content to local audiences.
Organized, data-aware, and comfortable managing multiple projects in a small, fast-moving team.
Advantages:
Experience in AEC, BIM, CG, or design software (e.g., Revit, Archicad, Vectorworks, SketchUp, Rhinoceros, 3ds Max).
Familiarity with visualization tools: Enscape, V-Ray, or similar real-time rendering solutions.
Hands-on use of marketing tools: Google Analytics, advertising platforms, marketing automation, and CRM (e.g., HubSpot or Salesforce).
Experience with community building or content creation: social media, YouTube, user groups, or online forums.
Prior experience working with universities or educational programs in Japan is a plus.
Key technical skills:
Run end-to-end campaigns: events, partner activities, and basic digital.
Use core tools: CRM, marketing automation, webinar tools, and Google Analytics.
Strong Japanese copywriting and localization; can adapt English assets quickly.
Key behavior skills:

Partner-friendly: enjoys working with resellers and aligns marketing with sales.
Organized and data-aware: manages several projects and uses simple metrics to judge what works.
