Senior Email Marketing Manager (m/f/d)

***This position can be based in Bulgaria, Germany, North Macedonia, and The Czech Republic with remote working options. Applicants must have work/residence permit for the respective location.***

We are looking for an experienced Senior Email Marketing Manager to drive and execute our email marketing strategy. The Senior Email Marketing Manager will play a crucial role in managing end-to-end email campaigns, from planning, content writing and design to execution and analysis. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of email marketing best practices and a proven ability to write clear, concise, and persuasive copy.

Main Responsibilities: 

  • Strategy & planning
    • Lead the develop and implementation of an effective email marketing strategy aligned with overall marketing and business goals

    • Oversee email governance model and maintain an email marketing calendar for optimal email frequency and campaign execution.

  • Email copywriting
    • Craft compelling and persuasive email copy that aligns with brand voice and resonates with the target audience

    • Collaborate with design and content teams to create visually appealing and effective email content

  • Email campaigns setup and execution
    • Create email templates and set up the campaigns in the Marketing Automation platform

    • Work closely with the Marketing Automation team on audience segmentation

    • Collaborate with the Localization Manager to implement strategies for email localization, ensuring that content is adapted for maximum impact and effectiveness

  • A/B testing
    • Conduct A/B tests to optimize campaigns; maintain a master email AB testing roadmap

  • Analytics and Reporting
    • Monitor and analyze key email marketing metrics, providing actionable insights to improve performance

    • Generate regular reports on campaign effectiveness and make recommendations for optimization

  • Compliance with email regulations
    • Ensure all campaigns are in compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM Act, GDPR) and best practices

Job requirements

Main requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as an Email Marketing Manager with a proven track record of successful email marketing campaigns.

  • Excellent email copywriting skills.

  • Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, regulations, and industry trends.

  • Experience with email marketing platforms and marketing automation tools, such as Mailchimp, Hubspot, Marketo, etc.

  • Excellent written and verbal English.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
